Our Field Trip

Today we went to the Western Development Museum to the Christmas Past Program. We took the bus to the museum. We went on a wagon ride and saw lots of old machinery. We went on a scavenger hunt in the museum and learned about the past. Then we made a paper ornament craft to take home. Finally, we ate a cookie and drank some juice before we came back to school. We had lots of fun at the museum.

Gingerbread Cookies.

It was a great day to be in grade one today. The students have been reading stories about gingerbread and today was gingerbread cookie baking day. we worked together to make the cookies, then we baked, decorated and ate them after lunch. It was a lot of fun. In the afternoon we did gingerbread art. They had some very creative creations. Tomorrow we will write all about it. Check out our pictures.
