It is a beautiful week. We are busy working away at our words and numbers. The students are catching on very quickly. Thank you for practising your stories everynight. It makes such a difference in their progress. Next week is spirit week at Columbia School. Monday - Backwards day Tuesday - Blue and Yellow Day Wednesday - Hat Day (for $2 donation to Terry Fox Foundation) Thursday - Red and White Day Friday - Jersey Day It is fun and easy to participate! Friday is our 100 day celebration. The students have been working so hard counting every day. We will spend the whole day on Friday thinking about numbers and working with the number 100. We will do exercizes for 100 seconds in the gym, write about what we will look like in 100 years and read 100 day stories. Don't forget to count out your 100 day snack. We are going to make an awesome trail mix. Look forward to the pictures coming soon!

Monday is our Teddy Bear Picnic. Don't forget to bring your teddy bear. The students in the other grade one class will be joining us for Teddy Bear songs, snacks and stories. Yay!!

Welcome Back!

Hope you had a great holiday. It is great to be back at school. We had an awesome first day back to school. We made New Year's resolutions, bear art, added doubles, and worked hard on some new spelling words. We won't have a spelling test this Friday. The test will be on January 13. Our new words are:
